Balancing Act

Been away for a little while as multiple jobs have kept me fairly busy balancing each. Factor in time for family and daily necessities and it's a marathon of opportunities. I imagine that most working professional artists and athletes face these daily challenges with the same vigor. It's an adventure to keep pushing to make it to the next level of performance. Keeping sharp and striving to surpass each visit to the balance beam or the blank canvas. Sport and Art share many core values. More than I have time to expound upon now. Duty calls me back to the canvas.
Until next week.

Color Ruff MK3

So I started ruffing out color thumb for a painting that's lined up in the cue.
I started out by taking bits of scrap (internet clippings) and slapping them down, arranging them until I found a composition I liked. Then as I let my sub-conscience roam and muse over the images a picture started to emerge. I should have saved some of the images along the process to see where I started and where I ended up before the conscience started to dominate and compose according to experience.
Next time I'll have to make a concerted effort to save off versions as I am process.
For now here's where I need to stop and move onto another assignment for the time being.
