Good Animation for a Good Cause

A little while ago I had the chance to work on a great project with a very talented crew of animation folks over at Warner Bros. Shout out to my talented director Chris Bailey and character designer extrordinare Stephen Silver. I was the board artist responsible for the two shorts, Lady D and Sean the Techie. Both were fun character relationship vehicles that were a blast to board. Side note for users of Safari browser, it may may not load the flash movie clips into the browser window. I tried FireFox and Netscape Nav. browers and the shorts loaded in... well... a flash. I've posted up some expressive loose boards from the Lady D short, you'll have to watch it to figure out what part these boards are from. All artwork is property of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Naturally. My boards were edited into an animatic for timing, and then translated into 3D animation. All the shorts are probably playing right now in Matatu's (private local buses) across Kenya. The Lefty short explores the nature of Matatu's and their economy w/ some pinache. Check them out when you can. More info about the project is under the KNOW tab. Enjoy.
